i agree, australia libertarians are few, and probably congregate here at mises.org, anyway.

it’s shocking to find norton endorsing public funding of schools and health, and calling himself a lone classical liberal. and with no sense of irony, either. i guess it’s a small mercy that he doesn’t define himself as a libertarian.

I’m having trouble understanding why this is notable or newsworthy. (??) Some unknown blogger lists his personal favorites, and tell me why this is news? This is a Beltway/Republitarian list. It’s not hard to see his allegiances (friends, the Beltway, and soft libertarianism). LewRockwell.com is #69? I’m sure Lew is losing sleep over this one.

The gimmick is that everyone who gets mentioned in this list links to it as if it really means something. What a boorish gimmick to draw attention and page views to his site.

I was a bit surprised to see Heritage so high on the list… I definitely wouldn’t describe it as anything like libertarian, and I’d imagine that the Heritage folks wouldn’t accept the label, either.

Interesting that a number of pro-war websites (e.g. heritage foundation) are listed among “libertarian” blogs.

In related news, just look at the sheer number of pro-war Australian “libertarians” at this thread. And one of them, a professor of economics, even has the gall to claim that Mises supports his warmongering!
