Headline of the day: China

November 6, 2008 by

AFP: China urges Obama to respect free trade, defends currency policy.

Thirty years ago would you have imagined that China would be the premier defender of free trade? Next thing you know, they’ll be privatizing land ownership. Evil, right?

Note: while a floating rate is certainly preferable, with any luck, the disastrous Fair Currency Act promoted by Big Labor will remain shelved for perpetuity.

Who is worse? Mao Tse Tung or Barack Obama? Will Obama be able to murder 70 million people when he gets in office? It’s pretty obvious that he wants to.

Is Obama better or worse than Pol Pot?

In the end it doesn’t really matter. All of them were/are the lap dogs of David Rockefeller.

J. Chris Folsom asks: “Will Obama be able to murder 70 million people when he gets in office? It’s pretty obvious that he wants to.”

Well, not quite 70 million

Wow. Scary stuff. Thanks for posting that.

Don’t forget about the continuing genocide in Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Syria that will be escalated under the Obama administration however. Also, how many people are going to be collateral damage and starve or freeze to death under the new command economy?

If China will privatise the land, it will be bought by rich communist party officials and their rich friends.
And we will wonder which is the difference between communist China and Chiang Kai Shek or Emperors regime?

China has been consistently pro free trade since joining the WTO. They are very legalistic when it comes to international agreements, partially due to their one-China policy. If they sign something, such as WTO, they will closely abide by the terms, unlike the Europeans and others who ignore Kyoto.

Relax, he’s in the CFR. He’ll do whatever they tell him to do.

Why kill the golden goose? Why even try to change the idiotic currency policy of China when the US has managed to extract trillions from them in Seigniorage?

China in an effort to keep manufacturing exporters working has devalued their currency relative to the US. The result of which is that they hold hundreds of billions of dollars when the Federal Reserve is printing new ones up like crazy.

The only loser in this would be the US as manufacturers would be able to raise prices dramatically thus making consumers poorer.

>> unlike the Europeans and others who ignore Kyoto.

Ignoring Kyoto is the only sane and decent thing George Bush did in his entire administration.

>> Relax, he’s in the CFR. He’ll do whatever they tell him to do.

That seems like an argument for panic, not relaxation.

>>Why even try to change the idiotic currency policy of China when the US has managed to extract trillions from them in Seigniorage?

Unless the plan is to have Chinese troops on U.S. soil kicking people out of their homes

U.S. didn’t sign Kyoto, neither did China, because they didn’t want to observe its rules. Europe signed it and failed to live by the agreement.
