Here in Australia, the term ‘Liberal’ is attached to a party, the pro-business party. I understand that ‘liberal’ is now a left-wing term in America. Perhaps you should start a new term. ‘Ultra-Marketeer’ could be used, as a Free-market party name. ‘Enterpreneurist’, maybe? Hard to see how that could be twisted to support state intervention!

Excellent speech, although I note that from the camera shots, many in the crowd weren’t terribly convinced.

Is it “party before principle”, or “label before principle” that’s the trouble? Why so much fear to abandon “conservatism” when they’re clearly convinced that there’s something wrong with it?
