Congratulations to our old friend Larry Reed, adjunct scholar of the Mises Institute, for his new position as president of the Foundation for Economic Education. He has served as president of the Mackinac Center, which frequently re-republishes Mises Institute material, and in this role he is succeeded by Joseph G. Lehman. Larry has been responsible for introducing many people to Austrian literature and thought through his many essays and lectures in the US and around the world. His monograph on the Great Depression, in particular, uses a Rothbardian approach to understanding the cause of the crash and the deepening depression that followed.
