I support tax breaks for everyone, and that includes the homebuilders. The timing is odd, but taxation is theft and the homebuilders merely reacted to the artificially low interest rates mandated by the price-fixing Federal Reserve. The banks, home buyers, etc were all misled by the low interest rates too. On the other hand, subsidies would be wrong because unprofitable companies are not eliminated. I believe Murray N. Rothbard supported both views in regards to discussing the Fair Tax.
another reason they got that break was because they witheld contributions to candidates till it passed.
