This is an interesting article on two counts. Firstly it is a well written piece and describes the actual situation. Secondly I suspect it was inspired by Ron Paul’s current campaign and yet gives no mention of him.
Great article! Isn’t the Telegraph one of the more left-wing papers, or do I have it confused with another?
The Daily Telegraph is traditionally conservative, a.k.a. the Daily Torygraph. Left-leaning papers in the UK are the Guardian and the Independent.
Governments hate gold because it is a refuge from governmental depredations.
Unfortunately, government’s response to this is going to be confiscation at some point. Government can’t allow you to stay outside it’s bonds forever.
One could do worse than by setting your standards to to the opposite of govt’s. If they disapprove, then seek; if they hate, then acquire; if they exclude, then join. Perhaps one should join the counter-economy by trading in gold (and silver).
And Karen de Coster? Govt doesn’t pay much attention. Perhaps more people should.
