Long live Frank Chodorov

Out of Step by Frank Chodorov

What can I say to persuade you to click on this link and have a look? This has to be the finest book from one of the great American thinkers and writers of the 20th century, a man who has been tragically neglected and forgotten: Frank Chodorov. Every essay in this book, called Out of Step, which is also available in print, is a gem, from its defense of the peddler to his celebration of the American tradition of isolationism. For shame on the institutions and publications that buried his name and failed to alert new generations to his insight and craft! We surely hope to run some of these essays as daily articles. His prose burns like a fire and his thought is relentlessly logical. And he really threw himself into the public arena in a massive way. It is such a pleasure to have a hand in drawing attention to his work.

What is the Mises Institute?

The Mises Institute is a non-profit organization that exists to promote teaching and research in the Austrian School of economics, individual freedom, honest history, and international peace, in the tradition of Ludwig von Mises and Murray N. Rothbard.

Non-political, non-partisan, and non-PC, we advocate a radical shift in the intellectual climate, away from statism and toward a private property order. We believe that our foundational ideas are of permanent value, and oppose all efforts at compromise, sellout, and amalgamation of these ideas with fashionable political, cultural, and social doctrines inimical to their spirit.
