Some people will say anything

WASHINGTON – Amid signs that the Taliban insurgency is regaining strength, President Bush on Friday defended his efforts to stabilize war-savaged Afghanistan and blasted critics who charge that his policies there are failing.

More wildly implausible assertions here

Jeff, unfortunately I need to call you on this – referring to Bush`s statements as “wildly implausible assertions” is putting it far too kindly. Bush and his handlers have proven to have almost zero regard for the truth.

But there are methods behind this madness. Not merely CYA, but also the more problems the government fails to solve, the more it can spend on the GWOT and funnel money to its cronies.

Regards,

TT

Ok, ok, it’s a bit of a mess over there. And Iraq isn’t exactly going great guns. But you know what they say – third time lucky.

P.S. If GOP leaders knew about Mark Foley and his dirty emails to minors for a year before anything happened, wouldn’t that make them liable for prosecution for conspiracy under the GOP’s own “save the children” kangaroo justice system?

Of course, don’t forget that Barney fa…, er, uh, Barney Frank is still in Congress. Such a great example of Democrat morality that he is. Plenty of cruddy examples from both parties. I guess government covering up its pedophiles is no different that the Catholic Church doing so.

I would immediately terminate the Congressional page program, which is a major waste. All these pages do is “gopher” missions anyhow. And “servicing” congressmen, apparently.

This all makes a great case for terminating the state itself. The state subjects us to being under the thumb of all these perverts and pedophiles in the first place.

Hm. the term ‘war on terra’ remains entirely apt, altho’ the irony is probably lost on the occupants of Washington’s shrubbery.

alas, the pun is not mine…….
