New Austrian Network fields

June 5, 2006 by

I have added three new fields to the Austrian Network profiles – for Slashdot.org, Digg.com and the Austrian Forum.

The reason for the new fields is that websites like Digg.com and Slashdot allow users to rank either other’s contributions and comments, and thus determine their visibility on the site. A few users working together to promote or denote a particular story can have a significant impact on the site. This can determine how hundreds of thousands of readers see a particular story.

Adding other capitalists to your friend list on these sites will make it easier for you to positively rate pro-capitalist comments. A selfish benefit to you is that you will see more contributions by people who share your views.

So, add your usernames to your profile right now! In a week or so, I will link a list of usernames submitted thus far.

Teenage Boy Killed in California School Shooting

what should be done about guns in america

Make them more widespread. Put them into more hands. More guns, less crime, of “opportunity”.

The problem is not that there are “wolves”, but that there are too many “sheep”.

The solution, as we see, daily, is not “more shepherds” (police, troops)– for it is impossible police a people who fail to police themselves.

Also, “Gun Control” only serves to disarm the law-abiding, those that, which more than likely, are the victims of the crimes you are seeking to eradicate. If they were trained in proper self-defense (civil defense, writ large) these crimes would decrease in #.

The true crime is that we are, on average, left ignorant of self-defense, often stripped of our rights to prepare for our self-defense, and, as experience shows, often left undefended by those entrusted with the, impossible, duty to defend us, anytime, anywhere.

If you remain contra, to the above, please show a jurisdiction where gun control has succeeded in reducing crime rates.
