It’s a mystery—even to the number crunchers. “We’d like to say it’s because economics is so interesting and because economists are so handsome and intelligent,” says John Siegfried, an econ professor at Vanderbilt University. “But there’s no good answer.”
Sure, Siegfried. Of course the Austrian School is by far the sexiest because we don’t bore the gals with dry discussions about econometrics.

Economics has been dressed up as a simple model or made up with fancy accessories like econometrics. The real key is that the power behind it drives politics and that power is an aphrodisiac. How else can you explain women’s attraction to geeks and rock stars?
Fame is another form of wealth, and wealth is an indication of quality child-rearing capability. That’s why the rock stars get mobbed by hormone-addled teenage girls even if they don’t understand the reason.
As a very powerful Internet networking geek, I can honestly say that women are not attracted to geeks as geeks, regardless of their prowess with hardware. :^)
Regarding Econometrics… only empiricists do it a posteriori! Also, Austrians might talk a good game, but in the end, mainstream economists can tutor on economics, statistics and math, tripling their chances of meeting girls.
Yeah, statistics and math, that is the key to getting women.
Still, I think [censored] is more likely to work.:~)
Lucky for all of us this isn’t a photoblog!
