I remember that conference as well (I was one of the organizers). I gave a talk on libertarian history (one of the first times that I gave my “The Late, Great, Left-Right Libertarian Flip-Flop” talk–on the evolution of the libertarian movement from left wing to right) and met with many who would become life-long friends in libertarian circles.

It’s funny. The most memorable point for me was not meeting Carl Watner or several others who came, but introducing my seven year old son (RIP) to Dr. Demento, a local radio show host. They had such a great time together!

Moments such as these are what makes a libertarian conference great!
