We Were All Wrong: The Federal Reserve Owns Itself

says the MSNBC “Answer Desk.”

Well I’m relieved to find this out, and also to learn from the “Answer Desk” that the Fed is a valiant inflation fighter.

I guess the bright side of all this is that now it may be easier to rid ourselves of the Fed…or maybe not.

There was humor and irony in that “Answer Desk” article:

“And the Fed is the biggest piggy bank we’ve got. Given the track record of Congress and the White House in managing the federal budget, it’s a good thing they can’t get their hands on it.”

The fed is a miracle piggy bank all righ: it just keeps on giving.
