Under the title of Market Madness, Mariusz Doszyn of Znet (one of the left’s most important popular websites) interviews Michael Albert, a writer for Z and the South End Press and a proponent of “participatory economics”—apparently a euphemism for another of variety of socialism. The interview is particularly interesting for Austrians in as much as the question and answers center on the influence of Austrians in Poland. [Full Article]

there can be no question that the influence of Austrians is rising all over the world

Do you have some factual data on this, or can this be determined apodictically?

I don’t think that this article is very fair to the interview on ZNet. In the actual interview, Michael Albert clearly states that he hasn’t read, nor does he care, the specifics on the Austrian School. The interviewer mentioned a certain view of the Austrian School and Albert replied to that.

Also, the article pays very little, if any attention, to Michael Albert’s analysis and views. I realize that they are not in line, or anywhere near, the Austrian School, but there is no response to what he says.
