University of Texas Mises Circle group

New UT Libertarian organization advocate Mises economics

While the plan is still in its early stages, the Mises Circle hopes to eventually gather enough interest for a course or seminar on Austrian economics through student involvement in their organization.

“Many people are starting to question the Keynesian economic establishment, its economic models and policy prescriptions,” Nino said. “Our goal at UT is to provide UT students [with] a legitimate forum that discusses Austrian economic principles.”

Come to the Dallas campus too.

To be clear, we are not sponsored by the Ludwig von Mises Institute. We just make use of their incredible resources.

We have talked about spreading this to other campuses, though, so please contact us if you are interested in working together to make that happen!

If only Oklahoma weren’t so fascist… Nice piece in the paper, too. Y’all’s paper is so much better than the OU Daily; all the Daily ever had worth reading was a few articles by this one obnoxious anarchist… :-)

We are doing something similar in Bozeman Montana. A private group, organized on Facebook and meets just off the campus of Montana State University at local pubs/coffee shops and whatnot. We meet weekly to discuss a reading for that week. Right now we are reading through the required readings to attend Mises University.

I live in Houston and would go to Austin for such an event. Plus, I recently graduated from Sam Houston State University and know some libertarians there who would be interested in attending as well.

We meet weekly, every Monday at 7pm on UT campus! Let us know if you know people who are interested and in town!
