You may have noticed the new literature pages that we launched last week. Do you like it?  How would you improve it? Please comment below.

Very cool!

Love it!

I like the look, but it takes too long to browse back through all of the books page by page now (obviously since there are less books per page). I think it would work better if you used those for each book as a “detailed look” window that would pop out to the side or drop down when you hover over the main link for a book.

I agree with Evan.

Having the pictures and descriptions by default takes up quite a bit of screen real estate. If you could implement a list where the descriptions drop-down when you mouse over a title I think that would make the interface more user friendly.

Looks neat though.

Incredible, I was aware of the literature hosted but shocked to see there was a massive 2007 incredible works of literature all made available for anyone to download and share at absolutely no cost.

I can’t wait to get an iPad so I can properly enjoy some of these books I don’t get to read as much as I’d like because lugging around MES or Human Action in physical form isn’t exactly convenient.

You gotta love the LvMI I am glad I donated at Christmas time and will gladly do so again mid year.

To the developers, thanks for your contribution to spreading knowledge, the only thing I can recommend is to put a search function at the top of the lit page to make finding titles easier.

Oops. Just noticed that there is already a search function, browsing on my phone I missed it at first.

To be honest, I find it terrible. It takes far much longer to load, and isn’t even aesthetically pleasing. The old one was much better, although I doubt we’ll go back to that one.

I am afraid I agree. Not an improvement. Also drop down menus are a bit buggy/fussy.

Also, please bring back the high level split between books/journals/ etc.

Sorry

I notice there are two “Authors” buttons on the menubar, for no apparent reason.

That’s called making a bloatware webapp even worse. Has mises.org IT managed to fix yet the warnings that browsers bring up about potential cross-site scripting (XSS) vectors?

I enjoy the new look but I have to agree with Evan. I would go back to a simple list of the books and have it so that you can scroll over a book you want to see further information about and see the cover and description after doing that. I often browse on my phone and the images make it much harder to do so. I’m not going to complain though. I’ve put far too many books on my Nook Simple touch to ever complain. I feel in debt to the Mises Institute and will have to make a nice donation this year considering I have put over $800 worth of books on my Nook.

Would it be possible to download QJAE and other journals issues as one whole file, like a complete journal, in ePub format?

Love the change!

Looks great without pictures! (I block all pictures on mises.org, no use of them here.) Moreover, it works fine with JavaScripts disabled; the earlier site didn’t work properly when JavaScripts were disabled.
