Had a bittersweet moment reading ‘Thanks A Lot Ron Paul—You’ve Made My Home A Political Campaign Headquarters (7 Jan. 2008)’: I went to see what Mr Blumert thinks of Paul’s 2012 presidential bid, only to learn that he died 30 March 2009. The esteem, it seems, was mutual.
The essay discusses his wife’s fascination with Paulian politics and—as it noted that she wrote a blog—I wondered what new levels of ecstasy she reached as Paul is now a consistent second in much of the polling. Sadly, June Morrall herself died on 4 January 2010, but you can still read her impressions of that 2008 campaign.
