Shakespeare was a man of extraordinary talents — or so we surmise from the texts we now possess. The Bard could have been the greatest literary success to never happen had it not been for the spirit of competition that prevailed in the early 18th century among rival booksellers.

Interventionism generates economic nationalism, which in turn generates bellicosity. Only laissez-faire policies are consistent with durable peace.
