This just made my day.

:)

Thanks so much for posting this Jeffrey! You just went from being my favourite living smart person to… whatever comes after that. (incidentally, release way more books please… you’re a hero :) )

I encourage users to post suggestions for additions to the app either here or through the app itself.

Kindest Regards, Gareth :)

P.S. I’m the one who published the app – not just some wierdo…. :)

Brent October 19, 2011 at 9:15 am

I kind of get the picture, but you should list its features, clean them up, etc. Make this the “official” (i.e., the one the MI recommends) app.

Thanks Brent!

I’d love that – but it’s early days yet. I’ll wait for all the suggestions first to create the ultimate app and then ask very nicely if it could be the official one :)

Thanks for making this Subvertive. Could you include a mobile literature page so I have fast access to epubs? It would be great if I could download the Mises epubs directly and easy to my phone. :)

Coming in the next update Gerard!
Just playing with how to best present them…

Thanks so much man! Gar :)

Gerard Gevers October 19, 2011 at 2:31 pm

Thanks! Looking forward to the update. :-)

Brent October 19, 2011 at 11:58 am

Oh I will download it and just keep updating it. But I think it might as well be the official one… whatever that means to a bunch of libertarians!

Ha ha! Having the word “unofficial” in the title almost has more appeal to this community! :)

I just loaded it onto my HTC Thunderbolt. Looks awesome.

Youtube videos need titles.

Subvertive October 19, 2011 at 9:36 am

I’ve just added titles to youtube videos and the mises blog. Should be available to update within a few hours.

:)

Subvertive October 19, 2011 at 11:33 am

:) Sure thing :)

Brent October 19, 2011 at 12:04 pm

Definitely include the Mises Blog next to articles. That’s half the site on any given day (for me).

Kickass!

Lino October 19, 2011 at 11:58 pm

Hardly the biggest update – but I’ve added all ye’re names to the credits tab – should appear with in a few hours. Thought ye’d appreciate knowing that I value all you guys’ feedback and support :)

Hey Guys!

Just realeased a fairly significant update ready for Android users. Bug fixes all over the place – and a new audio player, as well as the literature feed, bla bla bla…

As for apple users – I haven’t forgotten ye! I’m still battling with Apple to let me put it onto the app store – they don’t believe it’s significantly different to using Safari to browse Mises.org.

I’m trying to convince them otherwise!

Ok good news and slightly not so good news for iPod and iPad users…

Good news first: The Unofficial Mises App is now LIVE ON iTunes!!!
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/unofficial-mises-app/id477561398?ls=1&mt=8

Slightly bad news: It’s temporarily $1.99 – just until I recouperate the development costs. Apple’s developer account is $99!!! And I had to burn a bunch of time into revising it and revising it (apple people are way pickier than android’s).

Anyway – to everyone who purchases the app – I’ll list your name in the credits of the app and on my blog. Also, as an added bonus, if you have a blog or website relating to any free market/mises/etc….. I’ll put your link on my page.

That’s just as a thank you for helping support development of the app. I’ll make a free version of the app later with advertising in it :)

Happy Christmas!!! :)

Gar

Change of plan!

Due to some potential bugs Dave V’s pointed out to me, the Mises App on iPhon/iPad is now FREE.
Please download and let me know if you have any trouble with it :)
