Good link.
Woods is quite remarkable.

This is a good interview.
When Tom gets into 5 th gear about 5:00 he is absolutely awesome.

Mark Johns October 9, 2011 at 2:14 pm

I think instead of just talking Molyneaux and Woods ought to get down to these #Occupy protests and inject their ideas into the mix. We could really use your help to get people thinking in the right direction. And they ought to start talking fairly about #Occupy. Stop focusing on the negative elements of #occupy eg Obama supporters, the far leftists and the ignorant/misguided people and start giving credit to all the Libertarian and like minded folks protesting not just the one anti-Fed guy in that video. Fact is there is a wide diversity of people and viewpoints involved here. Everyone from Libertarians to Socialists to Alex Jones ‘infowarriors’, plus a lot of people not particularly political, they just want the corruption and injustices to end. Sure Molyneaux and Woods pay lip service to those non-Socialist and non-Obama people but they focus for some reason on the Socialists and Obama people making it seem as though they are the face of the movement. And that’s unfair to the point of dishonesty.

Anyway it’s time to act. Talking to each other hasn’t worked and won’t work. This is a movement loaded with potential, loaded with history. We have to do more than just sit on the sidelines and talk. #Occupy is still grassroots and diverse but like any movement it could get hijacked or subverted or fail. So I appeal to all Libertarians (and like minded folks) not just Molyneaux and Woods: Stop just talking and get down to these protests and start informing people about the real issues. If this movement’s potential is lost or corrupted let’s not be the ones who might have prevented it but did nothing and just sat instead heckling and pontificating on the sidelines.

Why don’t you go?

Mark Johns October 9, 2011 at 6:49 pm

I have thanks. Going back this Wednesday I hope, if not this weekend coming up.

Now why don’t you??

integral October 12, 2011 at 11:10 am

We don’t have to, now that Mark Johns is on the case.

Found this flyer by Bretigne Shaffer. Use it to educate the OWS protesters. Even handing out just a half dozen will help as folks will share them

It would also be good to point out that all of the banksters they hate (Goldman Sachs, AIG, Bank of America, Citi, etc.) would all be out of business today if the free marketers had their way back in 2008.

George D. October 10, 2011 at 1:07 pm

That’s right Horst. The remaining 70,000 banks (approx) would gladly have taken on more business.

Ever since his anti-Ron Paul rant Molyneux has really annoyed me. It’s nice that he gave Woods another platform to spread his awesomeness, but it’s not as if we even needed the narcissist at the right of the screen.

Brian Drake October 10, 2011 at 11:03 am

What about Stef’s “rant” on Paul annoyed you?

Matthew Swaringen October 10, 2011 at 12:33 pm

He basically calls Ron a religious extremist and points to his focus on the constitution as meaning he doesn’t actually believe in voluntarism.

But Ron doesn’t say the constitution is ideal, only that it’s better than the alternative of not having a restricted government. And there are plenty of religious anarcho-capitalists, such as Tom Woods.

It’s weird that he can interview and speak with some of these people, but Paul freaks him out in some way that he can’t even talk to the guy.

Check out the link I provided twice in the comment and you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about.

“Yeah yeah yeah, I wanna solve problems. Doodley Doo.”

He’d have my vote :)

“Permit real global free trade by repealing all tariffs and quotas without expecting international reciprocation”

HOW would this stop US jobs from moving to China and India?????????????

Daniel October 10, 2011 at 5:36 pm

If it makes you move somewhere where you wouldn’t be able to post here I’ll be all for it

Two of the institutions I most admire engaged in a frank discussion on my favourite topic. Is it still legal to have this much fun?

More, more, more!!!!!

I’ve followed the Mises Institute for a year or so, but for the first time while watching an interview like this my brother sat down with me and listened through the whole things. His mind was blown. Thanks Tom Woods and Stefan Moleneux!

John James October 11, 2011 at 5:28 am

That is so awesome. I love to hear things like that. And this is certainly one of the better interviews for him to see.

I definitely recommend these three lectures as the next exposures for him. He’ll be blown away even more…with each one.
