Nice credentials. Really confidence inspiring, isn’t he? All those years of credential building. My god, what a waste. He could have dug a lot of nice ditches by now. He missed his shovel-ready opportunity.

This is really unbelievable. It’s as if the last three years and all the fiscal stimuli by Washington have never happened. We still need more fiscal stimulus. These Keynesian economists must live in a parallel world. Incredible.

They’ll give a PhD out to anyone these days.
And the whole “Nobel Prize” thing? Not a single human being has won a Nobel Prize in Economics because no such prize exists. It’s a central bank prize that just uses Alfred Nobel’s name to get attention.
Is it that they have almost zero understanding of human beings or are they waaaaaay too smart (or analytical or complex) for economics (yes it’s possible)?
It’s funny and disturbing when people think the economy is a collection of numbers.
There is a resemblance, but Keynes was much more suave, which had the media eating out of his hand much as Obama did until recently. Keynes movie-star qualities where what attracted so many epigoni from academia hoping to bask in his luster and perhaps pick up a share of the grants that governments in America and England were lavishing on him. This dude will never match Keynes in the amount of damage wrought.
