Someone with the requisite skills has to make sure that this song gets on Jackie Lee’s playlist before ASC!

Yes, yes I do.

(1) The Fed is not a private firm. Further, Ron Paul does not regard it a private firm. I wish the singer had not referred to it as a private firm. She will confuse people, and make them think that Ron Paul thinks it’s some sort of private firm. In reality, the Fed is, as Harry Browne put it, a governmental agency masquerading as a private firm.

(2) The Fed does not set interest rates. It targets interest rates through what it calls “open-market operations.” Not that that makes the Fed any better, but I do like technical accuracy.

Other than that, I loved the song and its lyrics.

Best,
Alex Peak

(1) The Fed is not private. She got that wrong and it hurt me as well.

(2) But the Fed sets certain interest rates (f.e. the discount rate), so this part of the song is not technically incorrect.
