This Friday, Ask an Austrian Economist About the Economy

August 9, 2011 by

This Friday starting at 6pm Eastern time, Robert P. Murphy will host via streaming video a 90-minute web conference summarizing the state of the U.S. economy and financial markets from an Austrian perspective. He will begin the web conference with a 30-minute PowerPoint presentation touching on the the issues he considers most relevant, then field questions for the remaining hour. The event will not provide specific investment advice, but instead will provide a broad overview of our situation for adherents of Austrian business cycle theory.

I am disappointed that I will be unable to attend. I will, however, restate a comment that I’ve made here before: “Ask An Austrian” should be an integral part of mises.org. Even something simple like an email address (askanaustrian@mises.org) given prominent display on the web site (or at least the blog).

How about it, I ask the Austrians…

I second that — this might be a great tool for teaching/learning.
