The Chronicle offers a remarkable story on the University of the People, the world’s first tuition-free global university. What strikes me immediately is how much energy is behind this institution, and just how intense the level of dedication truly is toward making this an alternative to brick and mortar. Read this story and see if it is not obvious that this is the direction where education is headed – and of course the universe of Mises.org is essential to that.

Exams are online, making cheating very easy. This makes the signaling value of their degrees low.
