Was William Tell “real” or not? It is probably better to have a society that would invent and admire him than one that would ignore or disrespect him.

There also can be other ways to be infuenced by Robin Hood. I always thought of him and his posse as taking back what the government had stolen.

Such myths, fantasies, or histories are the tales to tell our children.
How forsaken our society that more people know the story of Robin Hood than William Tell (other than the apple shooting incident).
