It is interesting how the ideological battle of liberalism is being fought all over the world and it is also very interesting that Mises Institutes are becoming established all over the world. Guido Hulsmann will win the battle against Statism in France, little by little and then by leaps and bounds!

Hmmmm. Bastiat could not. The old order is too aspirating for the up and coming minds. They just can’t wait to emulate their social leaders; of course, to plunder wealth for themselves.

Bastiat was alone, relatively speaking.

At one point I had trouble understanding(and was slightly freaking out about my French), then Hülsmann ended the quote and commented on how it was poorly written like a political document. Made my day.

An interesting topic. Hulsmann’s way of talking is fantastic, it’s like he’s glowing part of the time.

Seriously I’m at 34 minutes now, and he’s gone through so many different things in such an eloquent manner that after this I might have to watch every single clip of YouTube that features Hülsmann.

I wish I could share Bruce’s optimism but the French are socialist by culture. If they come to adopt liberal ideas (in the classical meaning) it will be after having tried everything else and seen it fail.

How Soon Until The Awakening Of The Logical Structure Of Human Beings?

The logical structure of all human beings is the same so it matters not what soil is under their feet or what language comes from their tongues. All that matters is the awakening of the entrepreneurial spirit, and as the State inevitably and increasingly crumbles the entrepreneurial latency will transform to active and – how do the French say it? – voila!!!!!

Bill Gates and sundry “Intellectual Property” fatcats should start by watching this. Evidently, calling free stuff “communist” and dangerous to the market is just self-serving debate infections but these people should know on which side their bread is buttered.

2005: “Bill Gates suggested that free-software developers are communists.”

2010: “Open source software is a communist plot say MPAA and RIAA”:
