David Hume is just another guy that those Marxist liberal arts professors in schools would quickly ignore and/or marginalize.

Their approach is rather different with him. They teach his epistemology or ethical theory without touching upon his classical liberal roots. They do the same with JS Mill and play down the latter’s classical liberal credentials (with some justification.) Same with Kant. In general, they cannot ignore philosophers like Hume, Mill etc., so they follow another approach by trying to ignore vast aspects of their thought systems.
