Thank you. This is one of the most unappreciated works in the Austrian library.
Only unappreciated because it is such a tough read. What’s really great about it is that no opponents have ever tried to tackle it. It’s essentially the one-up that Austrians have on Keynesians. Keynesians, as a result, just ignore it.
[Keynesians] can’t touch this
Great choice. I hope the companion volume “The Critics of Keynesian Economics” will be added to the epub list soon.
I’d just like to emphasize that the “New Economics” in “Summer University of the New Economics” that is held annually in Aix-en-Provence, France, is not the same as the “New Economics” in the title of this book. Aix-en-Provence’s “New Economics” is the name that was given more than 30 years ago by a handful of French economist to their analysis of social phenomena (a mixed bag of Chicago economics and Austrian economics) to mark a departure from the government intervention heavy economics that were popular back then in France, and unfortunately still are today. Today, the Summer University of the New Economics gathers mostly Austrian economists and other social scientists working close to the Austrian tradition.
