What’s really sad is that people think that libertarianism is an ideology of ruthless competition and self-servedness. Only in the most barren, contemptible analysis is that true. Only with an objective review of the system does one see that it is all about cooperation and helping others. It seems that pride always gets in the way of truth.
Libertarianism is neither about competition nor helping people. It’s about the freedom to chose if you will cooperate or compete and to accept the positive and negative consequences of it.
My point, in polite and civilized terms is this.
What’s the point of looking for political or economic freedoms if nature and biology decides almost everything for us.
Even if we would obtain full economic and social freedoms, this “freedom” would be inscribed inside biological and natural totalitarianism.
The freedom I am looking for goes far beyond the freedom to own my own house, the freedom to keep my full paycheck etc. I want the freedom to curb nature’s laws, something sci-fi. I want to decide what I am, not just what to do with what I am.
