I was psyched to see this on Stossel. His show is pretty good but he is very Cato and Hayek focused. That's fine - it's more airing of liberty ideas than you see most anywhere else - but I'm happy to finally see a plug for LvMI and Mises himself on this show. I think Stossel made a good choice in the first Misesian to bring on - well done, Jeffrey!

I agree with you in general about the audience shots being annoying, but in some cases it's as fun/ interesting to watch their reaction. The preview of the next Hayek vs. Keynes video comes to mind, along with some other Stossel clips.

Jeffrey Tucker even mentioned that ancient toilets could flush a ham, I found that funny and entertaining, LOL ! Because of this, if I ever encounter an old green painted toilet like in the good old times, I would definitely try to flush a ham to see if it's true.

Sounds like an experiment we could suggest to Myth Busters. Can an old toilet flush a ham and other bulky stuff. Of course, because they like to blow stuff up, it would be fun to watch them blow up a full flush toilet at the end of the show.

But some conservatives have a taboo on toilet stuff and discussing about 5 gallon toilets could make libertarians seen as toilet obsessed geeks and make people turn away from libertarianism.

If the state continues like this, the toilets will have such low flush that they won't even be needed anymore. Just buy cat litter and use it in place of the toilet.

Now, I wonder what the greenies will tell you to do with the used litter. Do you throw it in the garbage or do you recycle it ? Are you supposed to sort things up when you recycle it ?

You should scrub those questions for a while before you elect to flush them.

I like to read all Jeffrey's articles because he uses a clear and simple language but listening to this interview I had to put my earphones and pop up the volume, overall I can understand what he is saying but I think he could win more brains among the non English speakers by talking a bit slower.

The thing I dislike about the Stossel show is the director cutting to shots of the audience during an interview, specifically the single-person shots. The cameras should be on Stossel and his guest. I don't watch television to watch audiences react. Notice how there isn't a television show called Audiences (which would be shots of random strangers for 3-second segments). That show would not get good ratings.

These directors are prevalent at stand-up specials Comedy Central, and various televised sporting events. And I hate them.

Great job as always, Mr. Tucker.

Yeah, I felt the same way, as well. But I guess that's why Mr. Tucker was prepared with some striking one-liners. Probably because he knew he wasn't going to get time explaining anything significant.

But I guess any publicity is good publicity. I'm glad there was a plug for this place, too. Hopefully the Mises community will help convert some of the neo-cons who are the Fox regulars. (I could almost hear a cringe when Mr. Tucker hinted, for a split second, that all drugs should be legalized, lol!)
