In partnership with Students for a Free Economy, Dr. Richard Ebeling and Dr. Robert Barsky will debate the merits of the gold standard. This debate will be shown LIVE at michigansfe.org and northwood.edu at 7:00 p.m. on March 29, 2011. Viewers can watch the debate as it’s happening live. After the debate has closed, interested individuals can watch the debate at michigansfe.org. Other partner websites may carry the debate, as well. I don’t think bringing back a gold standard is wise. The powers that be will always manipulate any official “standard” to the detriment of the rest of us. We should just allow competing currencies.
