I have a question. If you correct these figures to fix the error of attributing the 2009 budget to Bush (there was a HUGE increase that year), and attribute it correctly to the President who signed the appropriations bills (Obama), how does that affect the spending records of Bush and Obama? Also, TARP was created as a slush fund under Bush in 2008 to avert a banking disaster that would happen within hours without intervention. A lot of that money was still sitting there when Obama took office, the money to avoid the banking collapse had already been distributed. If the balance to that account had been de-obligated instead of spent for things it was never intended like the auto bailout (by Obama), how would that affect the spending under each President? I don't think either guy was great in terms of their spending, but it becomes very clear very quickly who the true spendthrift actually is. I am just offering some food for thought!
