Seems the GOP is having a tough time finding $100 billion to cut out of a $3.8 trillion budget. Especially given that $60 billion in proposed cuts is enough to cause some Republicans to wince — can’t have disruptions to government services, can we?
So, maybe, just maybe, the federal government isn’t a money-mouldering morass. Instead, it is a lean engine of growth, efficiently humming along as it provides essential services for the public good. Nah.
Or, maybe, just maybe, the GOP never had any intent of making real cuts at all. Hmmm.

I everybody agrees that at least 25 cents of every dollar spent by the Federal Government is wasted, why is it so difficult to come up with $950 billion cuts out of a $3.8 trillion budget?
Ego-driven interventionism cannot be controlled by any force except the moral authority of economic equilibrium and that day is coming!
For politicians government spending is an over-crowded sinking lifeboat which can only be saved if they jump out. Don’t bet your marbles on that happening.
The over-crowded sinking lifeboat has now been caught up in the powerful currents that are rushing towards the falls!
