The Chinese communists are quite right when they accuse Khrushchev of flirting with capitalism. If he continues in this direction, while we continue our drift into socialism, Russia may indeed one day outproduce us. FULL ARTICLE by Henry Hazlitt

I guess I am in a weird mood today. With apologies to Sammy Cahn & Frank Sinatra:
Socialism and famine
Socialism and famine
Go together like water and salmon
This I tell you brother
You can’t have one without the other
Socialism and famine
Socialism and famine
It’s an institute to reexamine
Ask the local gentry
And they will say it’s elementary
Try try to separate them
It’s an illusion
Try try try and you will only come
To this conclusion
Socialism and famine
Socialism and famine
Go together like water and salmon
Dad was told by mother
You can’t have one, you can’t have none, you can’t have one without the other
@Horst,
What a great song. I’m sure Sinatra would approve.
The next step after famine is war. That is the only way they can acquire wealth is steal it from a neighbor country.
I am pretty sure they are already outproducing us.
Then again, I’d say a lot of countries are.
