And yet, to this very day, public schools across the nation STILL call Hoover a free market zealot that destroyed the nation and FDR the savior of it all.
Are we still awaiting the definitive biography? — Great article, btw.
Hoover’s time in office was a horrible period for the U.S..
What a shame we have to re-live it now.
We aren’t re-living Hoover’s time in office. We did that during George W. Bush’s term. Right now, we’re re-living FDR’s time.
Hopefully it will be short-lived!
