The Hoppe Shirt!

September 2, 2010 by

Hans-Hermann Hoppe is one of the giants of liberty in our time. He has contributed to economic theory (firming up property rights theory), ethics (providing an epistemological foundation for individualism), philosophy (deductivism has never been so compelling), and politics (democracy is the god that failed).

He is already a legend. His reputation will grow with time as his ideas spread.

In honor of the festschrift published on his 60th yea (Property, Freedom, and Society) is the accompanying tee shirt that captures the man and his spirit. And the slogan underneath: Privatize Everything.

P.S. It is his birthday, and he has known nothing about this shirt.

Haven’t heard too much from Hoppe here. I very much liked reading “Democracy: The God That Failed”. Are there any new articles I’m missing?

Great. Just ordered it. It’s even better than the Hoppe is my Homeboy mockup! http://www.stephankinsella.com/2010/09/02/hoppe-teeshirt/

I love the look.

What’s the story behind the mysterious looking silhouette?

Prof. Hoppe in profile bears a striking resemblance to publicity pictures of Dick Tracy that I believe originated with the Warren Beatty movie. If only Tracy shared Hoppe’s understanding of economics, the world (at least, the funnies) would be a better place.

Can we have it in long sleeve too?

Happy Birthday Prof. Hoppe!

I’m still awaiting the announcement of his next book. When will this long awaited treatise be published? There’s been too much silence and secrecy surrounding this work – update us!
