The Cobden Centre polled 2,000 people on their attitudes toward their bank deposits, with the hope that the results would shed some light on the fractional-reserve banking issue. The results are mixed and demonstrate that most people are confused.

I’m not really surprised…I think if people were more aware of how fractional reserve banking actuallu worked, they’d be much more leery of trusting banks with their money

Now, please poll a random group of 2000 people what they know about the details of combustion inside the engines of cars they drive daily. Or a group of 2000 about the aerodynamics governing the flight of aircrafts they use on their vacation flights.
All of *those* 4,000 would know that they are being taken for a ride.
