The Treasury Secretary tells CNN, “I never had a real job.” (Thanks Michael Sabatino)

I couldn’t find the clip where he said the exact same thing on a CNBC special which was discussed afterward by a 4 person panel including Robert Murphy. The discussion was pathetically brief and Mr. Murphy only had time to make one remark which began with: (Not exact quote) “the only true thing Mr. Geithner said was that he had never had a real job.”

Sean A, I think this is the event of which you’re speaking. Videos are available there. It is the same special with Geithner in which he claimed that public education was responsible for most the growth and productivity in the 19th century in the United States.

Ah, but he is part of the elite! The great Hülsmann did a good job of sketching out how LvMises couldn’t stand being part of the bureaucratic elite of his country. Unlike the thoughtless Geitner, Mises rose to the task of giving good, solid advice whenever possible; but, again unlike Geitner, Mises never thought it was just dandy that such a bureaucratic elite wielded such enormous power.

Mind boggling:

Let me get this straight, we indebt the country in order to get it out of debt, epic. Makes you wonder in what coo-coo land he’s living in, evil man. Every word uttered by this joker is a lie. And he even tried to pull off that “America will pull together when needed”.

Some of my own comments on Geithner’s bologna “townhall” special from last September: http://thepegleg.com/2009/09/geithner-gets-nervous/

Not that it will matter if he’s proven wrong, but he actually said yes, “absolutely,” more Americans will have jobs next Sept. than they did eight months ago. Make work projects anyone?
