In 2001, the Mises Institute’s Schlarbaum Laureate was given to Professor Antony G. Flew, a libertarian philosopher with a huge bibliography to his name and many scholarly accomplishments.
He died April 8, 2010. We all remember him as a great gentlemen and scholar with a bright wit and a fiery passion for freedom. It was a pleasure to have him in Auburn those few days. Here is an essay about him.
His prize address discussed Locke and Rawls.
