The Real Right to Medical Care versus Socialized Medicine

August 6, 2009 by

The status quo with respect to medical care does not deserve to be preserved. It does bear the earmarks of financial lunacy. It does call for reform – for radical reform. The question is, what kind of radical reform? FULL ARTICLE

In light of this article:

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/08/06/critics-accuse-white-house-playing-big-brother-health-care-debate/

please feel free to report me to flag@whitehouse.gov for the following “fishy” statements which could be construed by the uninformed and illiterate as dis-information about healthcare:

1) The health care crisis was caused by government interference via Medicare regulations, which account for roughly 40% of the healthcare economy. This legislation is an attemt to fix the problems that government created.

2) Perhaps more relevant is the notion that more government debt is needed in order to create liquidity in the financial markets. This has been a motivating force behind the stimulus bill, the cap and trade bill and the health care bill.

3) Not to let the previous administration off the hook, war is an excellent way of stimulating the economy and creating more debt to fuel the financial system.

The response of the current administration towards opposing or critical views seems to be as follows:

All criticism of the government is uninformed, funded by reactionary parties, and just flat out misleading. To say something contrary to what the state claims is to be on the wrong side of the truth. People who oppose the government in such a way are obviously mad. Those stricken with this illness of the mind must be confined inside the cordons of state operated mental facilities. There they will be re-educated and re-conditioned to faithfully assume the infallible credence of our Most Benevolent and Glorious Leaders.

Brought you by the Democratic People’s Republic of North America, coming soon.

Very interesting board and comments. I have written up many of these ideas on my site about health reform and I think anybody interested in this blog will find the information I have put together very salient. Many of the ideas are things I am studying right now at The Wharton School as an MBA, although I combine thoughts as a practitioner in industry as well.
