We need a name for the current economic fix the politicians have got us in.
I’ve got a name.
Call it “The Quicksand Economy”.
The harder the politicians and government economists try to get us out of the mess they created, the deeper and faster we get sucked down. Just like the guy in the Tarzan movie or 60′s TV show who manages to get himself stuck in the quicksand, and spastically and tragically struggles to get out.
And I’ve got a new name for “Keynesian Economics”.
“Quicksand economics”.

I like!
Remembering the trepidation those shows created (“Is that quicksand? Do I dare go there?”) in a young boy, I would definitely say this is an adult version of quicksand.
Do I dare buy a house? Do I dare invest? Do I dare … dare?
Brilliant! No more vivid imagery possible.
I love the quicksand analogy! My analogy resembles a garden. Everytime I hear that we are seeing “green shoots” of growth I am constantly reminded of people with gardens. Sure those “green shoots” look great and yes you do have growth in your garden but are those “green shoots” you see going to produce a product others would like to purchase? No, because those Federal Reserve green shoots are all weeds! Nothing growing in that garden really has any value. It just looks good to the eye. Pretty soon, those weeds will take over your garden, you’ll spend weeks trying to get rid of them and if you do, you will have to start all over again with even more Federal Reserve seeds.
